Out of them all, above all the All-Russian ones are used not only against beasts and for protection of flocks and buildings, but also as bodyguards against human enemies. In contrast to modern degraded breeds, these native wolfhounds have excellent instincts, too. Their thick and long coat is a good protection in fight and also protection against cold weather. They can beat all the other breeds of dog. To stay excellent protectors and fighters, they must train defense and above all, the dogs should participate on breeding, who had successfully passed the testing examination of wolfhounds (All-Russian tradition which is forbidden in some regions).
